CVF-NEWS
'Tis the season -- CVF needs your support!
December 21, 2005
Hi Folks,
The California Voter Foundation is wrapping up another successful year and gearing up for 2006. The year ahead brings many challenges and opportunities, and CVF's plans include monitoring implementation of California's voter verified paper audit trail law and educating California voters about the statewide races and measures.
We work in a number of ways to engage and educate the public, with our web site, http://www.calvoter.org, the central home of CVF's bounty of offerings. Our web site pages were viewed over three million times in 2005, with many visitors coming to use our nonpartisan California Online Voter Guide. This year CVF also helped identify voter participation barriers and incentives through our California Voter Participation Survey, promoted better campaign finance disclosure in all 50 states with our Grading State Disclosure report, and successfully supported efforts to mandate public auditing of software vote counts.
CVF makes all this happen working on a modest annual budget that supports three full-time staff and our Davis office. If you value the California Voter Foundation's work I hope you will consider showing your support by making a tax-deductible donation!
You can donate in two ways:
1) Send a check to:
The California Voter Foundation
503 4th Street, Suite B
Davis, CA 95616
or
2) Make an online credit card donation via PayPal
All donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and help ensure that CVF will be there for California voters in future elections, as we have for every election since 1994.
Wishing you and yours a happy holiday season,
-- Kim Alexander, President
California Voter Foundation
