Voters Can Follow the Money, Prepare for Super Tuesday at www.calvoter.org

Today, the California Voter Foundation announced results from "follow the money" research on California propositions.  Proposition campaigns have raised over $133 million, mostly on the four tribal gaming referenda.  CVF's Caliornia Online Voter Guide identifies the top five donors for and against each measure on the ballot.  We've also recently added news stories to the guide's proposition pages. CVF's nonpartisan guide is online at http://www.calvoter.org/covg. Today's news release highlights the biggest proposition donors and is at the end of this message.

Election House Parties, California Vote-by-Mail voters in the news

Yesterday KQED-FM aired a story by Tamara Keith reporting on an election house party some friends of mine held in Sacramento. The piece really captures the spirit of the party and hopefully will encourage other people to host house parties of their own.   You can hear the archived story online at http://www.kqed.org/epArchive/R801280833.

For those wondering how to pull one of these events together, take a look the "How to Host an Election House Party" guide, produced by the California Voter Foundation and the Commonwealth Club of California, online at http://www.calvoter.org/issues/votereng/parties/index.html.

Today, NPR's Day to Day is airing another story by Tamara Keith focusing on California's Vote-by-Mail voters.  That story will be available online later today at http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=17.
