Returns will appear on the Secretary of State's website at Vote98.ss.ca.gov/Returns.htm after the polls close at 8pm on November 3rd.

The Secretary of State, in cooperation with Digital Equipment Corporation, will again provide live election returns on the Internet for statewide races, state ballot measures, supreme court and court of appeals races, and legislative and congressional races.

This year, in addition to standard HTML, the information will also be available in a special customized format that will allow Internet users to continuously view only those races in which they are interested.

Visit the Secretary of State's site prior to election night to make sure your browser is set up to accommodate the special Java applet.

27 of California's 58 counties will post election results online. Visit the following County Election Office sites for up-to-the-minute returns on local races, as well as county figures for statewide candidates and measures.
