If you're like us, you're fed up with meaningless soundbites
and political campaigns waged through 30-second TV spots.

Now you can do something about it!

Want to help the California Voter Foundation?

We'll get straight to the point:

SEND MONEY!!

Would you believe the entire CVF staff consists of two full-time employees? It's true! CVF works on an operating budget of less than $200,000 a year. We succeed in delivering all of this great information because we make a point of collaborating with other organizations to maximize our resources. We also contract with consultants for some of our services, like technological support, accounting, and public relations, and involve student volunteers in our efforts.

But we need to hire more staff to take full advantage of the enormous potential the Internet offers to revolutionize the way politics is practiced in this state and nation. In 1999 CVF will launch a new membership program, designed to provide an ongoing source of revenue for CVF that will ensure we can continue to provide the public with Internet access to election and government information for many years to come.

CVF is now recruiting 1000 charter members for our new membership program. You can help us meet this goal by signing up as a CVF charter member right now using our online membership form.

Your tax-deductible contribution will also help secure CVF's long-term sustainability. CVF accepts in-kind contributions as well. Please contribute whatever you can - $50, $100, $250, $500 - to CVF. If your employer has a charitable giving program, you can also help CVF by encouraging your employer to make a contribution.

Remember, all contributions to CVF are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!

Don't delay!

HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT
THE 1998 CALIFORNIA ONLINE VOTER GUIDE!

You can help publicize CVF's voter guide in several ways:

Use this publicity blurb. Here's a short publicity blurb you can use to help publicize our site:

The 1998 California Online Voter Guide is a nonpartisan web site packed with election information and designed to give voters the tools they need to make informed decisions at the polls. The site can be found on the Internet at http://www.calvoter.org.

On November 3, California voters will cast ballots in 52 congressional races, 100 state legislative races and nine statewide office races, in addition to making decisions on twelve state ballot measures and numerous local issues and races. The California Online Voter Guide helps voters sort it all out and provides quick access to vital election information and more than 200 campaign links in a useful, time-saving format. The California Online Voter Guide is produced by the California Voter Foundation, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to applying new technologies to provide the public with access to the information needed to participate in public life in a meaningful way.

Use these logos. Please feel free to copy and use either of the two logos for creating links or for printing in a publication.
