Simon Salinas on Education "Simon Salinas is the only candidate who has taught in our local classrooms. He spent 5 years teaching elementary school and 4 years as a Community College professor. As our Assemblymember, the education issues he will address include: Making sure every child has up-to-date textbooks and the other basics they need to succeed in school and in life Making sure every child is safe and secure at school Making sure our teachers receive both the necessary training, particularly in the area of technology, and the ongoing support of parents and the community to do their very best Getting more parents involved in school decisions and in their children's education."
