Buck McKeon on Education "We need to strengthen public education by directing dollars directly into the classroom rather than state and federal bureaucrats. We must reduce the role that Washington has on education. The Republican Congress has passed Ed-Flex, which reduces federal strings on money. We've also passed Educational Savings Accounts, which are tax-favored accounts that parents can use for their children's education. Buck McKeon has also authored major legislation that cuts student loan interest rates and reduces federal bureaucracy in job training programs. We also must increase charter schools and insist on safe schools. We must improve academic standards and discipline in the classroom."
