CALIFORNIA VOTER FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

The California Voter Foundation (CVF) is happy to announce the hiring of its new Membership Director, Amanda Bohl.

Bohl comes to CVF after working in both the California State Assembly and the Oregon State House of Representatives. A native Californian, Bohl was raised in Ione, in the foothill county of Amador. She graduated from Southern Oregon University with a degree in International Studies, and most recently served as a staff member in the California State Assembly. Bohl brings to CVF experience in grassroots organizing, campaign fundraising, and the state's political and governmental process.

"I am very excited to be joining the CVF staff at such an important time, and to be playing a crucial role in the development of CVF's new membership program," Bohl said about her new position. "CVF has already made such a positive impact on elections and politics in California. The challenge before us now is to guarantee CVF's continuing success by building a membership program that will ensure the organization's long-term self-sustainability."

As Membership Director, Bohl will work with CVF's President, Kim Alexander, and Managing Director, Saskia Mills, as well as the CVF Board of Directors, to develop and implement the organization's new membership program. Her duties include applying Internet technology to recruit, serve and retain CVF members, including individual, corporate and news media members.

"We are thrilled to have Amanda join the CVF staff," Alexander said. "Amanda brings the right mix of experience, skill, and enthusiasm to our newly created membership program," she added, noting that the position attracted over 40 applicants. "Amanda was our top choice for the job, and we hope CVF's friends and supporters will join us in wishing her luck and success in her new position."

Amanda Bohl is working with Alexander and Mills in CVF's office, located in midtown Sacramento. She can be reached at (916) 325-2120, or via email at amanda@calvoter.org.
