TO: CVF-NEWS FROM: Saskia Mills DATE: September 30, 2003 RE: Recall election resources for voters & journalists
One week from today, on Tuesday, October 7th, millions of Californians will choose whether to vote "yea" or "nay" on the question "Shall Gray Davis be recalled from the office of Governor?" At the same time, voters will decide who should replace the Governor if he is removed from office, and also decide the fate of two statewide ballot measures, Propositions 53 and 54.
Many high-quality, nonpartisan resources are available to help Californians cast their ballots in this unprecedented election, and to assist journalists as they cover the events of the next week. Some of the best are highlighted below; a more complete list of resources is available in CVF's Special Recall Election Voter Guide, online at: http://www.calvoter.org/recall
