Special Consultant, California Department of Education: Helped develop
the landmark Hughes-Hart Educational Reform Act of 1983, the first major
educational reform in over a decade which
strengthened high school graduation requirements and lengthened the
school day and year.

Personal

Married to Richard DiMarco; their two children, Marianne and Noelle, were
educated in California public schools and are now in graduate schools.

* Architect of the Governor's prevention agenda policy -- Healthy
Start program, the Statewide Volunteer Mentor Program, Preschool
and Child Care Programs and the Teacher Intern Program

* Facilitated twelve statewide "Children's Summits" to formulate
the comprehensive delivery of coordinated services for children
and families.

* Participated in the development of the 1983 Hughes Hart
Educational Reform Act which strengthened high school graduation
requirements and lengthened the school day.

* Primary responsibility for bringing the LEGO Family Park to
Carlsbad, CA.

* Primary responsibility for negotiating for Governor Wilson for
the Disneyland expansion including the creation of an education
center.
