Feinstein: Voted to confirm Rosemary Barkett, who opposes
the death penalty for cop killers and mass murderers, to a
lifetime appointment as justice on U.S. 11th Circuit Court

HUFFINGTON: SUPPORTS HABEAS CORPUS REFORM

Feinstein: Voted to kill Habeas Corpus reform

HUFFINGTON: SUPPORTS REFORM OF WEAK PAROLE LAWS

Feinstein: While serving on parole board, voted to parole
762 felons, including 18 murderers. Almost a third of her
parolees had previously violated parole


HUFFINGTON: SUPPORTS TRUTH IN SENTENCING REFORMS

Feinstein: Voted to weaken truth-in-sentencing provisions
on Senate crime bill. (CQ#378,11/17/93, rej. 26-73)
Stated that while on her term on the parole board, she
"reduced the median term" of criminals' sentences


HUFFINGTON: OPPOSES USING RACE QUOTAS ON THE DEATH PENALTY

Feinstein: Asked the President to apply racial quotas on
the death penalty "by Executive Order" (CNN's "Inside
Politics," 7/18/94) Voted down amendment prohibiting the
Justice Department from imposing racial quotas on death
penalty (Vote #227, 7/22/94)


HUFFINGTON: REMAINS INDEPENDENT BY REFUSING PAC MONEY FROM
TRIALLAWYERS AND LOBBYISTS

Feinstein: Has accepted $6 million from political action
committees during her career

Feinstein: While Mayor, attacked the Second Amendment by
